Herdade do Carvalhal

Herdade do Carvalhal is in Urra near Portalegre, Alto Alentejo, where historical references to wine production date back to the XI century. Climatic and topographic specificities created by São Mamede Mountain make it perfect for growing vines. The soils are granitic with patches of schist and quartzite. Lysias is made with indigenous grape varieties from the estate after rigorous selection.

The old Quinta do Coução is a typical Vinho Verde farm of scattered parcels, located near Braga. Terras de Coução is a white Vinho Verde produced from a manual selection of the best grapes of the farm, typically Arinto and Azal.
