Herdade do Cebolal is located on the Costa Vicentina, ten kilometres away from the coast.
This proximity to the Atlantic and the soils rich in schist, clay, and limestone confer unique characteristics of freshness, a high concentration of acidity and minerals on this wine. This property belongs to the same family for more than a century.
The fourth and fifth generation of winemakers created a new project, the “terroir wines” or “land parcels wines”. The wines Herdade do Cebolal Land Parcels represent three brothers.
The Herdade do Cebolal Shale Parcel is a “Surfer from Costa Alentejana”, the happiest, most talkative, most explosive brother. It was produced with grapes exclusively grown on schist-rich soil.
This wine has a beautiful violet color typical from Alicante Bouschet grape. Aromas that remember red fruit, the typical flowers from Touriga Nacional grapes. It is an Atlantic fresh fruit wine with young tannin and acidity present.
