Herdade do Cebolal
Herdade do Cebolal is located on the Costa Vicentina, ten kilometers away from the coast. This proximity to the Atlantic and the soils rich in schist, clay and limestone confer unique characteristics of freshness, a high concentration of acidity and minerals on this wine. This property belongs to the same family for more than a century.
Winemaking:
The grapes were harvested at the end of August dictated by climate conditions and the maturity of the grapes. The wine was fermented with controlled temperature in traditional fermentation clay open tanks.
Setúbal Wine Region
Península de Setúbal – Much of the area is flat and sandy, with the exception of the Serra da Arrábida. The climate is Mediterranean, with hot, dry summers and mild but rainy winters. Herdade do Cebolal is in the far south area of the region, in West Alenteo, at only 10km from the ocean. Here the climate is different when compared to Alentejo wine region, it is moderate due to the proximity to the Ocean.
